Candle

Pic of the day: Think I can't hold a candle to you?
Met an old friend on the street today and exchanged news. After that I spent ca 2 hours buying a couple of candles and soaps. But those are beautiful candles and soaps. I think I shall keep them for myself. :)
The weather keeps being nice and temperate. Despite this, town was milling with people shopping Christmas gifts. Tomorrow, Saturday, is bound to be like total hysteria, I suspect, what with it being the last Saturday before the holidays. However, recent news indicate that Norwegians are shopping less this Christmas. They may have discovered that interest rates are NOT going down this time until the economy cools down. Heh. It's not like they weren't warned. But did they listen? And now it's too late! MUAHAHAh.. eh... Too bad!

Several times the last couple of days I've heard the bands playing Christmas songs in the street, and they play a song that I vaguely think I have heard one of the last couple of years. But it's not one from my childhood, all of which I remember reasonably well. I think it's not one of the international classics either. Actually, the music doesn't sound very Christmassy at all. I'm having some pretty weird fantasies about what the text may be.
